Make focused edits

Read and edit specific lines or complete code sections. File checks detect stale edits, while writes preserve encoding and line endings.

Search with a preview

Find text with literal or regular-expression searches. Preview replacements before applying changes across files.

Work with local tools

Run commands and applications, inspect processes, manage environment variables, and explore project structure.

Practical tools for your AI workflow.

Weekend MCP Server is a lightweight .NET console app that connects local computer capabilities to AI clients through the Model Context Protocol (MCP). It communicates over standard input and output, with tools for files, directories, search, commands, processes, and project analysis.

File-editing tools use a checksum from a recent read to check that the file has not changed before applying an edit. They preserve detected text encoding, byte-order marks, line endings, and final-newline state. Search-and-replace tools start with a preview so you can inspect the proposed changes.

Optional C#, Markdown, and Python parser plugins let an assistant read complete methods, heading sections, classes, or functions. Windows registry tools are also available for local configuration tasks.

Configure the server in an MCP-compatible client to use it. The server runs locally with the access of the account that launches it.
